BREAKFAST FAVORITES

THE BOMB BURRITO – two scrambled eggs, green chilies, chorizo, beans, fried potatoes, cheddar, red and green chili wrapped in a flour tortilla. Smothered with your choice of sauce (green chili, red chili, sausage gravy, coconut curry or hollandaise). Served with fried potatoes.

BREAKFAST BURRITO – two scrambled eggs, cheddar, beans, fried potatoes and a choice of bacon, sausage, chicken or

avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla. Smothered with your choice of sauce (green chili, red chili, sausage gravy, coconut curry or hollandaise).  Add meat (2.29) or a veggie (.79). Served with fried potatoes.

BISCUITS AND GRAVY* – Two eggs , two homemade biscuits and sausage gravy.

BEGGEL BREAKFAST SANDWICH – a toasted everything bagel, one over hard egg, melted cheddar and your choice of one ingredient: avocado, tomato, ham, bacon, or sausage. served with fried potatoes.

STACKED HUEVOS* – two stacked corn or flour tortillas filled with beans, smothered with red or green chili, cheddar and cotija cheese, topped with two over medium eggs, lettuce and tomato. Served with fried potatoes.Add Sunnyside meats chorizo, chicken or avocado

CHICKEN TAMALES* – two green chili chicken tamales topped with green chili, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and cotija cheese. served with two eggs  and beans.        

CHICKEN FRIED STEAK* – Two eggs  with a breaded, fried beef steak. Smothered with your choice of green chili, red chili, coconut curry, sausage gravy, or hollandaise. Served with choice of bread and fried potatoes.

BENEDICTS* – an open faced toasted English muffin, biscuit or small Gluten free pancakes (50¢) with two over medium eggs and fillings, topped with sauce and served with a side of fried potatoes.

TRADITIONAL – grilled ham and hollandaise sauce.

PUEBLOAN – grilled ham, green chilies and

SOUTHWEST – local Sunnyside pork chorizo, green chili sauce and Monterey jack cheese.

SMASH BURGER – a four-ounce ground beef patty served on a bun with lettuce tomato and onion and your choice of cheese. Served with fried potatoes or Fritos.

OPENFACED CHILI BURGER – a four-ounce ground beef patty with cheddar cheese served open faced on a bun and smothered in red or green chili or both. Lettuce and tomato on the side served with home fries or Fritos.

CHICKEN FRIED STEAK SANDWICH – a breaded and fried beef steak served on a bun with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Served with fried potatoes or Fritos.

B.L.T. – Five slices of Boar’s Head bacon, lettuce, sliced tomato and mayonnaise on whole wheat toast. Served with home fries or Fritos.

SMOTHERED BURRITO – A flour tortilla filled with beans and diced white meat chicken or Sunnyside Meat’s chorizo, cheddar and cotija cheese. Garnished with lettuce and diced tomato. College Cafe is more than a breakfast spot; it is a true home-town establishment and a Durango institution. The history of the business and the buildings it has occupied is a testament to its enduring local legacy. The current working-owners, Aaron Seitz and Leah Evers, purchased the College Cafe in 2011. For over a decade, they served breakfast and lunch out of the wooden building at 666 E. College Drive, now located at 128 E. 9th St. Leah Evers said, “we moved from the stick house to the brick house”, and it was worth the wait. Every dish we serve, from our famously large pancakes to our authentic Southwest breakfast burritos, is made from scratch with real, nourishing ingredients. At College Cafe we think you deserve to eat food that not only tastes amazing but also nourishes your body and that’s why every choice we make, from the products we source to the oil we cook with, is a vote for your health. We are so thankful for your continued support as we begin this new chapter in a fresh space.
